Crosslink Ventures Welcomes its Two Newest Partners

| January 9, 2017

Crosslink is excited to announce two new partners: Omar El-Ayat has been promoted to Partner and Matt Bigge has joined the team as a Partner.

Omar joined Crosslink in 2011. He has proved over six years to be a key colleague in sourcing, research and marketing efforts within the firm. Among the transactions Omar sourced are Crosslink investments in Enigma, Hired, Postmates, ServiceMax (acquired by GE, $945M) and several others, predominantly at the seed stage.  He has been critical to the growth of Alpha, the leading technology entrepreneur networking group, as it has grown to a world class organization with a thousand members nationwide and nearly 40 events a year across the country.  Crosslink promoted Omar to Vice President in 2014 to allow him to focus more of his efforts on leading and sourcing software and marketplaces deals. Since 2014, Omar has led and sourced Crosslink’s numerous investments including AutoFi, BuildingConnected, Descartes Labs, and Phil.

Matt Bigge joins Crosslink with more than 25 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur and multi-stage venture capital investor. Matt’s relationship with Crosslink’s team spans more than 20 years, including working with Eric Chin at military spin-out venture firm, MILCOM Technologies. Prior to joining Crosslink, Matt was a Partner at Paladin Capital, where he focused on enterprise and industrial infrastructure with a particular emphasis on security. He co-invested alongside Crosslink in ProtectWise and Verodin.

Matt has a strong track record of investing in leading edge technology companies, including ArcSight (acquired by HP), CloudShield (acquired by SAIC) and Narus (acquired by Boeing). He was also an early investor and Chairman of the Board of MeshNetworks (acquired by Motorola).  As an operator, Matt co-founded seven companies, including MILCOM Technologies and Strategic Social (acquired by Constellis Group).  Prior to his business career, Matt was a distinguished Airborne Ranger in the US Army.

We excited to welcome both Matt and Omar to the Crosslink Partnership.
