Joseph is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Haven Ventures, which is an early-stage venture firm investing in the future of financial technology and decentralized finance. Prior to co-founding Haven Ventures, Joseph spent nearly 6 years as an investor at Crosslink, where he focused on investments in fintech, commerce, consumer and marketplaces. He continues to support Crosslink on deals related to financial technology and decentralized finance.
Experience
Joseph has been operating and investing in technology companies for over a decade. Prior to co-founding Haven Ventures, Joseph spent nearly 6 years as an investor at Crosslink where he was closely involved with investments such as Chime, Zebit, Bank Novo, Brace.ai, Step Mobile, AutoFi, Clyde and Roofr. Joseph began his investing career with Crosscut Ventures, LA’s leading early-stage venture firm. At Crosscut Ventures, Joseph co-led investments in Conversion Logic, Datascience (acquired by Oracle), Hellotech, Reaction Commerce, Streamlabs (acquired by Logitech) and Starmaker (acquired by Starfruit). An avid gamer, Joseph was among the first institutional investors in Esports and co-launched immortals.gg, one of the largest Esports franchises in the country, where he still serves as an advisor.
Prior to his investing career Joseph worked in corporate development at Intuit leading acquisitions across various sectors including payments, vertical SaaS, marketplaces, and payroll. While at Intuit Joseph also held roles in product management, finance and business development.
Outside of work Joseph is an avid traveler, foodie, and karaoke enthusiast.
